Guide to using the Slack application for JIRA ticket creation.



Step-by-step guide

  1. Run Slash Command "/create_ticket {Short Summary Here}"

    1. You should see a response like seen below
    2. Upon opening the thread you should see two messages
      1. The first is the Summary you entered
      2. The Second is All replies in this thread will be added to the JIRA ticket
    3. Copy all previous discussion into thread to automatically add it to slack
    4. All replies will be copied automatically into the slack ticket as comments
